Quick Question About my Plugs

Alright i have 50,300 now so im wondering... Ive been reading about plugs and people having problems about breaking them off by leaving them in to long and having to get someone who has the extracting tool to get them out, soo should put a socket on them to either try and losen them then put it back in or anyone think i can pull them all out myself with regular sockets and replace them without any problems?

I just changed mine this weekend and out of 8...only 1 broke....and we used normal sockets to get the plugs out. The problem from what I saw is not what you use to get the plugs out....its the design of the plug...the plug broke off because of the carbon build up not because of us. I would recommend doing it with the engine warm...the first 4 came out easy when the engine was warm....stopped to eat lunch...came back broke the plug...finally got it out....then warmed the motor back up and the rest of the plugs came out fine.....so who knows if this will help you out or not...just wanted to let you know what I found out this weekend.....GOOD LUCK

Matco makes a tool to get the broken plugs out...cost about $300 bucks...as far as the plug I don't know if there is a diff between you 05 and my 06 but the updated plug from ford for my truck is a PZT14F $18 frpm ford....went to Oreilly and gave them that # and it showed Motorcraft SP507 $6.99

You really need to do some reading on the subject. Use the Search feature and look for the "Sparkplug TSB" This should be followed explicitly. Also, look for the homeade spark plug removal tool. Cost about $5 in parts and works just fine.
