302 to 351w

i have a 83 ford f150 it has a 302 5.0 ltr and i want to drop a 351w in it is it posible and if so what things do i need to do it thanks

If you keep it carburated, not a big deal. You will need different drive belts, due to the engine is wider, but your accessories will still mount up with the same brackets. Bellhousing and motor mounts are the same. Exhaust will most likely need to be reworked at the manifolds due to the width of the engine. Other than that, straight drop in. Oh yeah, make sure the water pump is a standard rotation. If the 351 currently has a V-belt system, you're good. If it has the serpentine belt system, you will need to get a water pump for an 83 with the 351.

Question thanks

u really helped because i will need a new water pump because it is not a v belt what do you think the praformence level will increase or should i just go with the 460 if posible
