one comes off of the can in front of the vacuum canister toward the fender(not sure what its called) but its gray in color and looks like a vacuum cleaner hose. it is approx 6 inches long and whatever was on the end is gone. the other is on the back side of the motor, its about 1" dia. and black, comes around the passenger side of the motor. it goes into something that looks like it should be bolted to the back of the engine and has another large hose coming out of the opposite side that is less than a foot long. the engine was replaced in the truck before i bought it and i've been having problems that i believe can be fixed once i get all of the vacuum lines and these hoses where they're supposed to be

ok that sounds like its just the smog pump filter hose. it just goes along the wheel well, it hooks to the filter/can and the other end just sits at the back of the wheel well. its not really necessary but thats where it goes.

that sounds like the pcv hose which just hooks to the pcv valve toward the back of the passenger side valve cover and the other end goes onto the back of the intake.

i hope that helps you out. i'll get some pics tomorrow and post them so it helps more.

first part helped but the 2nd hose isnt the pcv, that is connected. i'm not sure where it comes from but it goes around the corner of the valve cover on the passenger side to the rear of the engine where it connects to a metal fitting that has mounting holes and atleast one other hose coming off of it which has what appears to be a filter or pressure valve

alright i figured that pic was too small to see. that hose goes from the air check valve on the back of the engine to the smog pump. sorry i didnt get the pics yesterday, i couldnt get a clear one at first.

from air chack valve

to pipe right around the tranny dipstick tube

to air bypass valve

then theres a hose from the bypass valve to the smog pump.

Thanks a lot.. the valve that goes into the back of the engine is broken.. the rounded piece at the end of the hose in the first pic isnt connected to the rest of the valve that goes into the back of the engine and theres another metal tube running from the bottom of it that i believe is supposed to be connected to the exhaust which isnt lol
