Difference in throttle bodies?

I put my 99 4.6 throttle body on my 2002 5.4 because the throttle blade arm for the cruise control cable was broken off. Is there a difference and should i not be using it? Than i need to know how i can replace that arm and where to get the parts.

did everything bolt back up?

if everything you took off fits back on then there should be no problem.

Yeah it fit but the wholes on the blade are different and in different positions. Also the sensor on the tb, i was wondering if it may be regulated differently.

I had a 4six body assembly from a Crown Vic and it's smaller (it's posted in the "Hot To" section on this site) - Not sure about the truck engine TB for the 4six, but I wouldn't use it if it's not same.

Some are also Top pull vrs. Bottom pull. I had to swap mine out (I broke it in two) and ended up with a top pull from a newer 99 5four. It was different from my bottom pull - I had to switch the throttle plate/TPS sensor arm/shaft with my old unit to get the new one to work. So that shaft in your old will work in the new IF the body is the same diameter (that I don't know)

BTW- Don't even try to remove the bearings
