Need some Engine upgrade advice.

So I'm pretty much a beginner on the Engine part of a vehicle I can do all typical stuff on a vehicle(Fluid changes, Brakes Rotors, Tires, Tune up,etc) But I'm not well taught about upgrades for the engine. And I've been trying to find some new headers for my truck and from seeing that post on that lightning I kind of wanted to get bassani headers but I don't see one for my year of a truck.

It's a 2007 F-150 5.4 V8 triton. And I was wondering if you guys had any advice/references on certian brands. And if you have one in your truck do ou like it, can you feel a difference?

Pacesetter makes a good set of long tube headers for the 5.4. Also look into getting a custom programmer, an aftermarket cold air intake, and since your getting headers get a well built true dual exhaust.

Yeah I'm planning on getting True Flow Cold air Intake. Not sure of a programmer but most likely bullydog. And The duels are going to be the first thing I'm getting even before the engine work. Any preferred programmers?

I'd go for the SCT XCal 2 and a custom tune. With the XCAL you always have the option of data logging later or upgrading. Plus its a very common method of tuning, most tuners can use SCT equipment.

Don't go with the true flow. I don't think anyone runs it and it's untested. You're best bet would be either an S&B, K&N, or Air Force 1. The AF1 being the best and most expensive, the S&B being the cheapest and 2nd best, and the K&N being the worse out of the 3.
