Broken Radiator Shroud

Hey guys,

I have to order one for my 98. Had my old hanging on the wall - it fell , broke in three pieces.

Auto parts warehouse is the only place I can find that carries them -

http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/de...QQF160313.html

$70 will get it to my front door. Anyone know of another vender I could order from? Rock doesn't carry them.

I take it, you don't want one from a boneyard. As nice as the inside of your engine bay looks I might want to go with new as well. Safe to assume it is an aftermarket shroud. I just hope it mounts in there properly for you.
I will do some checking for you as well. How's the truck coming otherwise.

By the way, it had to be real cold in your shop to have that shroud break into 3 pieces from falling off the wall. Those shrouds seem pretty rugged and reasonably flexible.

jbrew,

How far are you from Windsor? You can have mine. Just come and get it.

EDIT Posted before realizing the difference. If you want to make it fit you can still have it.

What are the differences in the fan shroud? If you look up http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...99&catalogid=1

They list the same part for 97 through 03 + Heritage

Shoot -I just now got the F250 done, that was a PITA . It was dead, no power anywhere except at the battery.

I found the F'ed up wires eventually - In the freakin steering colom

Back to 98 finally - I did get the harness done in that one , I have to locate manifold. I can't remember what I did with the damn thing, - I stuck it somewhere so I wouldn't break it!! - Now I can't find it. - I know it's wrapped in a couple blankets tho. I'll find it..

Hell, at first I was thinkin all the 98-03 V8 shrouds would be the same or close enough anyway. JMC had a good point @ that link he posted.

Then I seen this listed for the 98 -

And this for the 2000 -

I mean, Is the 2000 pick upside down or is the bolts @ the bottom when installed?

I know my bolts are toward the top. Well, I took a pick with the phone earlier - I'll grab it real quick.. 1 minute.

Yea, mine sorta looks like the 2000 pic

I'm 95% sure, its just upside down, can verify it tomorrow. i sure don't remember the fan sticking up that much on top, has to be upside down. I was pretty positive they were all the same......

Now that I think about it, I know its the same. It is upside down in the pic because I have the plastic filler piece that covers behind the grill where the latch is and it wraps over the top of the radiator core support and over the top of the fan shroud and connects with those stupid screw style snap in fasteners.

The cracked one is upside down. Mine has a CAUTION FAN sticker on the top. It also has the two holes where the push pins go for the plastic cover over the rad support.
