Whistling at certain rpms

I have a 2008 crew cab with about 3,00 miles on it. Sometimes when your in a certain rpm range it whistles like a throttle body spacer. Does anybody else have this noise. It is ridiculous;y annoying because it happens around about 35-40 mph which is the speed I normally drive at. Thanks for the help guys

My 02 will do it too, so it's normal. But I really have to be on the gas hard and rpms high to make that noise.

I think it's just the harmonics cold air is more dence than hot, so your probably hearing the engine just sucking air in, my 2000f150 my friends 2003 f150 and his dad's f150 do ll the same thing, it got down to -40 degreese celcius here and it was a non stop loud whistle, when i was on the gas, i mean like loud,

Throw a little paint thinner on your rubber connections @ the TB/Plenum. Behind the intake as well. That seals them. - Ford Service.

Could also be a grommet incorporated into the firewall. You should be able to determine the difference over RPMs.

Could be mechanical/normal. It easy enough to check lines if you want with a cheap little mini vac. But you can only check the line itself before the connection to metal components. Unless you have a way to cap the flow internally.

All I know, before using the paint thinner method, some lines will pull off easy. After applying thinner, it's a b^tch getting them lines off - It works. Better than clamps IMO.
