there is really nothing thats going to give you a huge increases in fuel economy. Part of your gas mileage issue with the 33's is the tire size makes the speedometer slow. Your really getting the same mileage. A tuner would help you correct that but they cost money. A cold air intake and exhaust modifications can help but again they cost money and to do it for just the fuel savings really isnt worth it. If you spend 3 or 4 grand to gain a couple mpg (MAYBE) it will take several years for it to pay off especially at todays gas price.

Not as much as it seems. The dealer can program the computer for a larger size but the older trucks software isnt exact it would still be a little slow unless you got a tuner. The newer trucks can be adjusted at the dealer. actually I just saw you have an 04 you could have the dealer fix the speedometer. That would correct your truck.

They adjusted mine in and I have a 99 with 33's. Like I said it isnt exact still a little slow but they can change your computer for the largest size of tire and make it better. You need a tuner to get it perfect. I get 13-14 mpg before they adjusted it I was getting 12-13 mixed. I think the truck should get 14-15 mixed. Should get 17-18 on the freeway and the best I've ever got out of it is 16.5

I usually get about 12 around town, with a truck bed full of tools. I get 14-15 when on the highway at 70-75mph. But I went on a trip this summer, and I caravaned with another guy in a 4 banger ranger in the mountains, we were going 60-65 and I got 19.9 mpg steady. The lower speed really helped the mileage, it's just hard to go sooo slow for sooo long.
