As far as the hydrogen cell. ... ... ... I would not do it until these people who have already done the mod have had it on a vehicle for at least 5 years. While it works like NO2, it isnt the same. You are looking at possible issues with O2 sensors, temps, et al. Basically, HHO has a lower flash point than regular air. Theoretically it *should* help to combust fuel more efficiently. But if you look at the capacity output of the *hydrogen cell* and look at how much HHO naturally occurs in air, you wont see much difference unless you build a sizeable cell. Other concerns are... Its water and baking soda in a container in your engine compartment... What starts to happen to water when temperaturs go below 32F/0C???

first we dont put baking soda in there we put some crystal drain opener thing
the crystal drain opener stays in the water the hole time so the only thing that is going to the engine is oxygen and hydrogen
and it freezes haha

Yep - nasty stuff, especially when you put Drano in it.

lalightning,

I did some mods to my 03 4X4 and I did see some gains to my MPG's, but I think I actually did better in the power dept. I installed Troyer elec. fans, and a K&N filter, a catback exhaust, and a bed cover. I did notice a significant acceleration feel and picked up about 4 miles per gallon average. And I have to add that is very dependent on how and where I drive. Also I noticed weather conditions make a big difference. You won't be able to find too many people that drive the same, so it's hard to say what works and what doesn't. I say: do what feels right and enjoy the truck !

AN IDIOT! GO AWAY!

HHO, you don't even know what you are talking about. And who is the idiot that thinks HHO exists in the air? Moderator, I formally request you ban this troll!

HHO, great concept, but not viable.

HHO is NOT NOx.
Idiot

And for my on post topic... A truck cap that extends from the top of the cab to the top of the tail gate creates a nice slope for the air to ride and can bump up the gas mileage.

Check out the Myth Busters Tail Gate down vs. Tailgate up issue.
The tear drop as you mentioned is by far one of the best aerodynamic designs.

And in Canada, you get better mileage with the tailgate down, or off, if you drive a long bed. Apparently, these results only happen in Canada. Not on MythBusters.

lowering or removing the tailgate on trucks with an eight-foot long box may decrease the drag

what do you guys have on to increase Mpg
With larger tires you need new gears. For 33's I'd get 4.56's. A new air filter with a free flowing tube, custom tune, and some exhaust mods will increase the mpg's some. Also doing a FULL tune up will work wonders.

I have to throw this in again - the single best thing to to to increase gas mileage is totally free - take the lead out of your right foot!
