Got the cams!

I started a thread a while back about getting cams for the truck and I finally decided to do it. One of my buddies back in dallas owns a shop and had VCT stage 2 cams in his GT for maybe 300 miles and decided to take them out. I bought them for $400 installed with new springs too. I won't be putting them in for a while since I have a few other things I want to do before I get the re-tune. I finally decided to keep the truck so here are the plans tell me what yall think.
42# injectors
Port Intake
Port Heads
4.10 Gears
Procharger

The Procharger will be last, probably sometime next year. I'm excited to see how she runs!

good buy, a note for you though the 3 valve trucks respond better to the 39# injectors out of the terminator cobras due to the wider spray pattern

your truck is gonna be sick

That's my question too. A heavy truck with a centri needs the right grind for bottom end grunt???

That is top on my of things to find out today. Thank you for the tip on the injectors as well. I made a mistake I meant the 39# because they are a direct replacement but for some reason I thought they were 42#. I forgot to mention I am going to up my stall as well. Any suggestions on how big I should go? And how much should I expect to pay for gears?

Why a procharger, why not a conventional blower?

I think a procharger is conventional. You must mean why not a positive displaement blower??

I know it's a good charger, but honestly, it's kind of an eye sore. But again, why not a positive displacement charger?

the cams make the most power over 4k rpms. The deal was so good I couldn't pass it up.
4.6- I love prochargers, they are extremely efficient and make great numbers. I have always been a centri kind of guy. We currently have 2 vehicles with paxtons and one that is procharged and you cannot beat them! I would really love to go turbo but don't want to shell out the money for the kit. Plus there aren't very many procharged 5.4 3v's. Everyone and there dog has a "conventional" blower. So why not be different? Anyone can spend 2,400 and get a pos roushcharger. Why not spend an extra $600 and get a blower with a 2 or 3 core intercooler that is way more efficient and makes more power.

^^ Did you ever get behind the wheel of a 5.4 with a positive displacement blower on it?

I agree with built54....all of your power will be above 4k rpms. Maybe a waste gate would help to get some boost lower in the power curve.
