oil change ramps?

I recently purchased a 2007 Supercrew with the OEM 20" wheels. Last weekend I decided to go ahead and change the oil but realized that the ramps I have are too narrow for the tires. I spent some time searching on the internet and discovered that there are no ramps avaliable for the width (11.3 inches according to the Pirelli website) of my tires with the exception of a few in the several hundred dollar range. Has anyone else faced this problem and if so how have you remedied it? I am thinking of going the floorjack/jack stands route but I'm not even sure what size to get (7500lb truck) or if it will be the least bit cost efficient. Thanks for any and all help.

Sears. Jack and jackstand. Just get tall jackstands and a 3500lbs. jack, cause your not lifting your truck off all fours are ya????

My truck is a 2 wheel drive with small wheels and I slide under it without jacks or ramps.
Why do you need to elevate it?

Thanks for the help. I did find a 3 ton jack and jackstands that I might go for. You're definitely right about not lifting the entire truck. And the raceramps do look good but I was hoping to not have to spend quite that much because the wife just looks at it as a way for me to make an excuse to get more tools. I tried to get underneath it without the ramps but it didn't work so good. Maybe it was the fact that I tried the day after Thanksgiving or went at it from the wrong angle. I'll try it again and see if I have more luck.

Two 4" thick by 10" wide solid concrete blocks. Just drive up onto them.

I would just use the ramps you have. A little tire hanging over the edge isnt going to hurt any thing and it will be absolutely safe.

well, that all depends on how sturdy the ones he's got are. I get a chuckle every time I'm at my buddies place cause he's got an old ramp in the corner of the garage that he bent flat with an f-350....not purposely

I assume you don't have a 4x4. I love just being able to slide under without jacking it up when it's oil change time.

I realize that doen't help much, but I had to throw it in.

For the cars I just use dolly jacks and put blocks of wood under the tire at the front corner, and then lower the jack enough to let the tire take some of the weight. I also leave two dolly jacks under there to take some of weight, and as backup. The blocks of wood are wide enough and safe enough not to tople over, plus the tire is already resting on them, plus I'm only using a couple of blocks. I only jack it up enough to be able to slide under and do the change.

Same here.

When I change the oil on the car at the farm, all I use are stacked 2x4's...

I don't know how much room you need but you can always just go buy some 3x12" blocks of wood and cut the one end on one end and you will be able to just drive on and give you a few more inches and reasonably cheap, or nail a couple 2x12s together and cut a couple grooves on it or just off the blocks of wood.

50$ + tx CND at Canadian Tire. I've use them with my truck, even with my 35'' tires.

I had some cheap walmart ones that cracked the first time or so I used them. Then I got some Rhino Ramps like above and they are supported underneath. The tires still hang over a tiny bit, but there's nothing to be afraid of, they will be fine.

With my stock 2X4, I was able to crawl right under it. I'm no "slenderina", but you must have more heft than my 200 lbs. Get a lift kit; problem solved!

I'm just a shade over 200 myself so I'm going to try to slide under there sans ramps this weekend. I like the Rhino Ramps but the website says even the 12000 lb model is only rated for 9.5 inch tires. I'm thinking of building my own using some treated 2"x12".
