Wrench Light

Going down the road the other day and wrench light came on and i had no throttle control what so ever. Coasted off to side of the road cut it off and then back on and everything was fine. Anyone have any ideas?

I had a very similar thing happen to me this morning. The only difference, is that I had to restart it twice before it would rev. Engine stalled, started it and it would not go past idle regardless of throttle pedal position.

Same exact thing happened to me.Felt the tranny do a quick "funny" shift to look down and see the wrench light on.Engine stayed about 900 RPM no matter where the pedal was.I coasted for a few hundred feet so i can pull down a side road and find a safe enough spot incase i had to leave the truck.I checked all other guages and they all seemed normal then i shut it off, waited about 20 seconds and started it back up and all was fine.I have the edge on level 3 but never blamed it.I had it there without touching it since April. I also have just under 30k..Dont know what the cause was but truck has been fine otherwise..

It's a safe mode. Something triggered it. Pinging, fuel pressure, numerous things. More details required.

Has happened to me on/off for last few months. With Chicago winter, I decided to get it checked at the dealer. Happened 5x on my 20 minute drive in. Codes I got were:

P0121 - TP Sensor Ckt
P2104 - Throttle Actuator Frcd Idle
P2111 - Throttle Actuator Frcd Open
P2112 - Throttle Actuator Frcd Closed

I'll update when I find out.

Got a quote from the dealer - $420 for a new throttle body installed + $100 diag fee. They needed 2.5 hrs to get the part and the another hr to install.

When I called another local dealer for a quote (and availibility), they asked what air filter I had. When I told them K&N, he recommended using the stock paper till March - since I was probably freezing the components or shooting ice/snow on my MAF sensor.

I just dropped the paper one in and will post any updates.
