I haven't ever really heard alot of negatives on the hi-flow converters by Magnaflow. Who here personally has had problems with them and what model/part # were they? I dont have Magnaflow cats on my F150 but they seemed pretty good on my Silverado, granted I put barely 15,000 on it before I traded it for my Ford. What cats would others here suggest then?

HI!... Stay away from MAGNAFLOW cats. They fall apart. I went through 3 pairs before giving up on them. 4 buddies of mine have had the same problems with them on their mustangs. The material that they use to hold the catalyst in place in the steel shell break down after time and then you get the dreaded "RATTLE" of the catalyst bouncing around in the cat shell.

Wow I haven’t heard any issues come across my desk regarding issues with our converters. The causes of the converters to break up are usually caused by fuel issues too rich or too lean. Our converters just don’t break up by themselves without some other issues causing this. It is also possible that the wrong converters were installed to begin with. I don’t know what you have used in the past but they have a 50,000 miles warranty on all of the converters.
HI!... Well I contacted MAGNAFLOW 3 times and was basically told tuff luck. I believe because I live in Canada. If you were to re-read my post you would see that it's not the catalyst itself that breaks down. That's fine. It's the material that is wrapped around the catalyst to hold it firmly in the shell. Once that material breaks down the catalyst just rattles around in the shell eventually blocking about 80% of the outgoing flow. The right cats were used, (PART # 94306)This was a custom built exhaust set-up. S/S KOOKS LT headers, MAGNAFLOW "X" pipe, two S/S MAGNAFLOW mufflers, two S/S MAGNAFLOW high flow cats, two MAGNAFLOW polished S/S tips and all BURN'S STAINLESS mandrel bends 2.5 inch. $2400 in the exhaust system from heads to tips. Even all the hardware and hangers were S/S and was all TIG welded in S/S. No race fuel was used, just SUNOCO 94 octane. A/F's were 14.7 at idle and while cruising and 12.8-13.0 at WOT. Which is dead on in my N/A trim. Tuning was done by MIKE TROYER so the tune was right on. I tried two more sets but they all did the same thing under 8000KMS. I gave up your cats and had a local speed shop order me a set of the ones he preferred. They have no name on them so I don't know who makes them and he's not telling. lol! But they have been on there for 5 years and over 100,000KMS and still are like new.
