ok the tech drive the truck with me and we couldnt duplicate exactly the noise, but he had an idea.. the tech told the s.a that he can hear the sparkplug thing or something like that, on the trans.. he was going to check,
today nothing was done to the truck, the s.a told me that on the transmision, he couldn't duplicate the noise, on the detonation that he didn't found anything wrong, that might be the gasoline and tu put a tank of premium "wtf" and the a/c that everything was fine I hope ford goes to bankrupt as I am going because all the trips that is costing me to go there I also have a bmw and they always fix the problems but they give me a loaner or they go and pick up my car but ford is full of s%^%& as this would be my 7 and last car from ford and also ford top of the line models they are not cheap at all.

by the way is an 07 KR with 25k
Sounds to me, really no offense meant here, you need to go out and do some more research on your truck. Maybe learn a little more about it, and how it all works.

Also, you are talking about ONE dealership. This is NOT FoMoCo, but a private business who sells cars on behalf of Ford. They suck. Doesn't = ford sucking.

Also, all the problem you list sound controversial to me. A "noise when ac is on". If they can't duplicate the noise, how are they suppose to fix it ? Start replacing everything ? Will get expensive quick.

sparkplug in transmission ? This goes back to the learning part. Go teach yourself the basics of a vehicle, or stop driving them. This is my opinion, but if your able to get behind the wheel, you should know what the hell it is. Sorry to be so blunt, but I have so many customers who don't know jack ! At least you have an idea, much easy to talk to someone like that, then some of these customers who just give blank stares !

Again, if they can't duplicate the problem, what are they suppose to use ?

detonation: comes from using cheap-o crap *** gas. Get some 91 octane from a REAL gas station. Stick with Shell, chevron, 76 (not in that order)

A clunk: this is notorius for Ford. You need to re-grease your slip yoke using a high heat, teflon grease.

Your truck might be problematic. Best bet might be to fix it up a little, sell it, and get a new one. This does happen. Think of everything that goes into your truck. All the parts. To have all of them work flawlessly on every vehicle you produce.... is simply wishful thinking. This is the same with BMW, Mercedes, or any other auto manufacturer.

Trans was fixed 2x..... what did they do ? exactly ? This would be key info in helping you out.

Ok, I think I covered most of it. Hope this helps you bud.

again man, everything I said, nothing is meant as "insulting" in any way. I am simply calling it as I see it, and trying to help you understand the whole thing a little better.

thanks for all the info and I dind't want to make any one mad.
first right now we are facing a bad economy, so it is hard ro be running around in the search of a good dealer, Dallas its big to be looking for a decent dealer I took the truck to the ones that are closer to me.

#1- the A/C noise I didnt told that to the S.A I told him look their is a vibration at idle on my truck when I turn the A/C I get freaking tickles on my foot.
#2 spark plug in transmision. ????

I said that I have a detonation problem. the service tech told the S.A in front of me yes he has a spark knock I can hear it- after 2 days they sent me home saying you need to get premium gas

#3 tranny- I told the guy look my truck has a sound like something nocking when shifting gears and my truck has only 25k miles on them and its been fixed 2 times already- the tech can hear it but not real good - he said they didn't duplicate the noise-
regards what they do to the transmision I dont know. what makes me mad is that they hear a problem and don't fixed.

example on summer my truck man was not getting cold a/c air so I took it in . they said it was fine..

how can they said its fine if I have a couple of other trucks cheaper then the KR and you almost freeze in their ..

so its complicated.
to sell the truck yeah I would probably do that, but once the economy gets better.

It's an '07. You still have a warranty. It shouldn't cost you anything to get it fixed. You need to read your warranty booklet. I have to admit that I haven't read mine from cover to cover. But there is a tire warranty that comes with new cars also. There is no reason for you to even buy new tires on a car that is only 1 year old. Get it to another dealership. Find someone more competent to work on your car.

thanks man, I took the truck to the dealer that I bought it from. and told the S.A that it was a vibration. they balanced my tires like 4 times . so I quit and went to another dealer I also have the brake problem, it is more when you brake your steering wheel shakes. so they fixed the brakes but the vibration didnt work out very good I still had the same problem so I wait a couple of months, so I went back for an oil change and told the guy about the vibration, had to pay for allignment and balancing it didnt solve the problem, then I took it back they rebalanced.. nothing .. then I bought the new tires from bridgestone and the problem was gone now I think the truck has a little of play from been driving all these miles whit the vibration I don't now.. anyways

ill keep looking for a good dealer in my area.

Does sound tough bud.

Maybe try looking for a good, reputable independant guy in your area ? Not a dealer, but an independant mechanic who knows Ford. Might have better luck with something like that.

Noises in the truck

I understand exactly what you are saying. I believe you need to find a quality mechanic, away from the dealership. I used to only go to dealerships and had a bad experience that drove me away. I wish I would have left years before I did. Find yourself a quality mechanic in a small shop. You becvome a regular customer and you will be the King. Promise you...

I have a 2000 Laredo with 227,000 miles and I am a fanatic about the truck being kept up. I hear noises and try to diagnose and take my mechanic a ride and he will work very hard to identify the problem. Extra effort I never saw from a Ford dealership.

Keep trying to identify precisely when the truck is doing what it does so you can replicate at will.

I was not aware of that tsb, but I change my tires to bridgestone, on my 07 KR and the vibration went away, but the feeling of the the road that I had before its there, a little rough and like some kind of small play like something loose in the steering..
