Well since you guys ban shifty_85 im posting for him. he has a 97 F-150 4.6L 4R70W trans. hes having starter troubles its hit and miss weather his truck will start without whackin the starter with a hammer. if it doesnt start you can hear the soilnad up top go "CLICK.....CLICK" but nothing under neath. start hitting the starter and it fires right up. Also the lil solinad under neath were all the wires connect to...that part can wiggle... Shifty said this starter isnt even a year n a half old 180 dollar starter stright from ford. Any ideas? were gonna take it out 2 morro and see what we can do.

 

the whole solenoid is wiggling? i'd replace it or rebuild it. does it still got a warranty on it?
