Looks like coolant or MAYBE A/C oil... NOT tranny fluid (red)

I've seen tranny fluid that color. Pull your tranny stick and see what color yours is.

Yea, that's a trans leak or oil pan gasket from what I can see. - Trans probably.

Put it up on stands / run it and watch.

Or -

Check the trans. - Drive her at-least 20 miles @ about 60-65 mph. Stop the truck / w/it running, go thru every gear with your foot on the brake/ pause about 3 seconds in each gear/ work you way up to park/ leave it running/ pop the hood/ check it.

My truck has yellow coolant. It looks like a pile has leaked. I am with the others, clean it off and check all your fluid levels. This much visible fluid means something is low...

uh. . there is a dipstick. . . usually on passenger side. . . check it while running. I'll go ahead and go further. . . pull the dipstick, CLEAN it off, put dipstick back in tube, pull it, and see where the fluid is on the hatch marks on the lower end of the stick. . .

Just checked the transmission fluid. It is filled past the hatches. The fluid color is red so I dont think it is transmission fluid.

that is what I mentioned and what I have been thinking all along. . . Like I had said, take brake clean, clean the entire area, run the truck for a little while, then get back under and check again.

It is obviously something under pressure. Run the engine up to operating temp to pressurize all the systems and check your fluid levels. If none of them are low check the AC system.

From left:

Antifreeze

Unidentified Mystery Fluid

Transmission fluid

Power Steering Fluid

Brake Fluid

Engine oil

It looks the most like coolant or brake fluid but as I previously mentioned the coolant is too watery and the brake fluid smells and is less viscous than mystery fluid but more viscous than the coolant.

We will see if my truck blows up tommorrow on the way to work. LOL

Go to AutoZone and rent a coolant pressure tester.

I can't believe you can't find a leak like that. man I think I would try a little bit harder. Well maybe it's just me - but, idunno, my 98 has hasn't leaked yet fortunatly -- if I seen aleak like that one, I would have to find out what's goon on before driving it anywhere.

I tend to agree. Coolant has a very distinctive smell, and it does not smell like oil. Ac fluid (oil added to the compressor) would smell like oil. I would take it to an aircon repair shop and ask their opinion.
