400hp at the wheel

Hi guys I'm a huge reader of this site and it has motivated me to try some mods to my 04 fx4,I'm looking for about 400rwhp and I was wandering if it is vesable with items like e-fans-cai-tuner-headers-cams-exhaust?I realy don't want to ''just juice it'' or supercharge it, I'm looking for a good road cruiser with some go getup that can get this tanker movin.I'm not looking for a good 1/4 time because with my truck,it just ani't naturalIt's not a daily driver heck it only has 14000 miles.Sorry to belong winded just trying to tell what I'm after.

Love this site and all the people who keep it alive!

new crank, rods and high compression pistons along with new heads. upgrade the fuel system. an N/A truck with 400hp. that would be sweet.

put a set of 4.10 gears in it. and you'll need a tuner for just about anything you do to the engine to make everything work properly.

I have no problem with custom tunes, but diff chains means diff change x2. BTW how much would stock fx4 with 3.73 gears have anyway? Can a gear swap really be that noticable?

you'll notice a difference in torque, but yea you'll have to do both differentials. i dont know what yours has at the wheels. what motor do you have? are you gonna be running the 1/4 mile in the truck? or do you just want more power?

400 at the wheels means about 520 at the crank. the only way to get there is supercharging really.

Cool

HI!... 400RWH.P is possible in N/A trim. I made 354RWH.P with 8.4:1 compression. If I were to have planned on staying N/A and gone with 10-10.5 :1 compression and ran anything other than a basic tune, I could of hit 400RWH.P. A turbo or Supercharger would get you there easier though. My next build will be a 5.4 3-valve and I'm shooting for 400-425RWH.P with low compression in N/A trim. Then the T-88 goes on and will turn her up a bit. lol!
