No just in the first min after starting it.. I have SCT by Troyer and magnaflow, no CAI yet. I really thought it was the clutch on the fan but I held the fan and it was not moving and still herd the small horn sound coming from the front of the motor.. Sometimes its louder im lost I have 59000k on 5.4 4x4 original Belt. Maybe i need to put the gator belt on and see if that fixes it..

Yea, it's either intake or PCV valve IMO. Anything other than a Motorcraft valve can be noisy. Motorcraft valves flow. Other aftermarket replacement valves have tight margins that restrict. Makes them noisy and you can use oil with them.

Damn , I can't hold my fan - even cold..My fingers didn't even slow it down a couple weeks ago. That still hurts.

The fan should not be still on a cold start - your clutch may well be what's making the noise. It should roar for about 20 seconds and quiet down as the rpm's drop.

LOL, ya my fan just barely moves and i can stop it really easy? But driving when its cold you can hear the fan amp up loud then tapers down as she warms up...I think my valves are motorcraft I have never messed with them.
Is the PCV valve something I could change and maybe fix? And on that should I go ahead and just replace anyway

the pcv valve should be right on your passenger side valve cover. what are you going to do about your fan clutch? as glc said it should be moving.

You should never be able to stop and hold the fan - regardless of temperature.

Remove the drive belt and start it. If there's no noise, it's most likely the fan clutch.

A Motorcraft fan clutch is 100 bucks at rockauto.com, aftermarket clutches are about 75 bucks at Autozone. Before you do it, pull the belt like I suggested and verify that it shuts up. You only need to run it for about a minute which will be safe.
