Cool

HI!... JBREW : Ya I deleted the center divider in the upper aluminum intake manifold. Then I tapered the lower plenum divider. Where in MICHIGAN are you located? How far are you from Detroit? I just live 15 minutes from the DETROIT border. I'd be happy to port/polish your TB/TB ELBOW for a small fee of coarse. lol! I probably won't tackle another intake manifold to the extent that I did mine. I had something like 30 hours in mine. If I were to do another it would be by payment only.

I was thinking about recessing that a little further - at-the least.. Or just removing. It looks as though you can smooth the transition easy enough.
i cut it about 2" down into the lower chamber then taper it off

- Yea, it took forever to do the entire intake before I finally said- "good enough". That came out nice.

Like I said , I screwed up a stock TB attempting to port, but had another luckily.

I purchased a 75mm TB and was going to port match the plenum, but had to return the TB because the pull was wrong. Faster150 probably remembers when that happened.

I would have to charge someone as well for all that work - I wouldn't take the job

Thanks for the offer Neal, I have an account w/Paul that has a little credit in it - I'll use that to port match a spare plenum with a BBK 75mm when I bust down and get one.

Yea , not that far from Detroit, about 45 minutes when I'm here in Michigan. I have to get the rowdies together here and meet you and JMC up their just before a big snow.. - You guys know how to have fun

Yea , that's what I was thinking - Damn , I didn't know anyone actually did it that way. Seems like it would help tho if there was a demand for flow. Neal removed his completly which works as well.

But both of your guys motors are built enough to take advantage that, I'm not their yet. It can't hurt to be prepared tho

Does the porting give not only transition but any hp gains? How much would it cost me neal for you to port match a bbk 75mm?

I wouldn't worry about it unless you can really use it. You don't have the heads, so why do it?

uhh i have performance improved heads...What heads are you talking about. We have the same motor now and your going to get yours done, there is no difference between our engines cept mine is newer. Fill me in here! Im trying to do every last single add on bolt on tweak before my tune, getting the 75mm tb and port matched plenum wont do me any good at all?

Uhhh CNC ported heads at least. That's why I suggested just polishing for now. That's something you could do yourself.

You may just want to get the truck running right first.. Neal and Faster150 have built and tuned engines - Well Neals is, I'm not sure to what extent Faster150's, but I know he was building his. They both have the heads for it. Neal has Fox Lake heads - Those puppy's are $5000 heads, so...

Would an edelbrock 75mm be a worthy investment for my 5.4l 2v? and if so what would compliment it better that wouldn't be super expensive... I'm gettin a vmp/sct tuner also so that'd probably really compliment if I'm not mistaken?
