few questions about people and what they have done to their 4.6's
-has any one installed a bbk throttle body for the 04-08 4.6l f150? it says gains from anywhere from 7-12hp.
-MAF sensor. granatelli makes one. says minimum of 10hp.

yeah but mine broke. and they had 2 replace it and they were the ones who installed it.

 

has the new one performed well? were the gains worth the money? are you a 4.6 or 5.4? you have fx4 stickers.
around december i should have about a 1,000 bucks for the truck. i was thinking these parts.

i figured between those i would gain about 30-35 hp.

 

edge programer for 400 bucks. gives 50 hp. then k&n air filter system for 250

 

your not picking up no 50 hp from that stuff bud.

20hp from edge. 10-15 from intake. so 35 max. and i would trade and get a gryphon. edge can cause your truck to run lean. my truck broke down from the edge twice and almost caused me to get t-boned.

its suposed 2. but who really knows.

 

who ever told you that lied. you would need a few more add ons to get that kind of hp gains. im already about 35 hp behind from a stock 5.4 im just trying to get some hp out of my truck now to get it moving a little faster. i figured if i can get 30-40 more hp out of it i would be doing pretty good.

 

i have a 5.4 with k&n and edge. and dual exaust. dont ask wat kind cus they came on the truck wen i bought it.

 

save the money and dont get the throttle body. you will see alot more gains if you do something like long tubes or getting rid of that flowmaster. i ported my throttle body and saw very little gains.

 

anyways back to my question. can any one help? or any other ideas on parts.

xcal 2 tuned by VMP
K&N 63 intake
slowmaster super 44

wanting to pick up about 30-40 hp for under 1k

 

i would get long tubes, but they dont make them...

and i got the flowmaster for the sound so changing that is not an option.

are you referring to a throttle body spacer? thats the only thing i can think of you might be talking about.
