Hex/Thread/Seat came off of spark plug...?
Something else to try, if you have room above the plugs: My slide hammer has an adapter that lets me adapt it to a set of locking pliers. You can usually rent a slide hammer from the local parts store. See if you can find long nose vice-grip type pliers that will let you get a good grip on the top of the plug. Give it a few bumps and see if it pops.
If it is the back plug then it won't work.

Unfortunately it was the 2 back plugs on the driver's side that the piece came off of. On a lighter note, I bought some Aerokroil and now my truck is back on the road. Thanks to the Lisle tool kit as well. All 8 plugs separated at the ground sleeve. The two rear on driver's side came out in 3 pieces, hex sleeve, porcelain and electrode, and ground sleeve with porcelain inside it. After soaking for about 30 minutes with Aerokroil the remaining 6 plugs I had to remove came out a little easier than the first two and the 2 on the driver's side pulled out with pliers whereas the night before they wouldn't budge. I replaced them with Autolite HT1s with a liberal coating of nickel anti-sieze. The thing runs better than brand new. Thanks for all the advice to get me back on the road. I can take pix of the plugs if anyone wants to see but I'm sure you've seen them all before. Thanks again, Chris.
