air box question

air box question

i used to have a 06 chevy duramax and on the airbox on it i read where you could swiss cheese and and cut out the sides of it i did it and it gave me just as much performance as a air intake would!! can i do the same on my f150

if you have an 04+ model year then you'll have to get a cai and custom tuner to make it work.

How do yuh like that Duramax ? I just priced one @ 50 grand - I don't think I want to spend that much, so I'm looking for one 2 years old - 06 or 07.

BTW - you know of any good forums ?

i have a 04 f150 with the 5.4 in it but the duramax i had was a 06 it was sittin on 38s pushing a little over 500 horsepower i loved it was so easy to had power to it the slightest changes got the biggest gains its so different with gas motors

Yea , we had one @ work for awhile , until it lost a battle with a quad axle dump truck loaded with limestone - Almost cut it in two. Liked that truck.

I have an f150 that I'm keeping since I purchased it new in 98. There great trucks and reliable as hell. I have about 250,000 miles on this 5.4L and haven't had a problem with it, not one that wasn't easily overcome anyway.

The Gotts Mod is the way to go - More cold air on demand. That's all you need unless your heavily modded.
