Possible TRS problem?

1997 ford taurus...
I posted a question earlier and the responses and research led to a possible trs or relay problem.

It seems when the car heats up it will not start, sometimes it cranks find after driving. Acts like you are trying to start with the transmission in drive. Lights and all lights up but that's it. You can hear a relay beside the battery activating.

Anyway, i did find out the car will start in neutral. Is this normal for a 1997. Could the TRS be a good possiblity with this problem? ANy way I can test it?

Thanks

UPDATE
I unplugged the trs on top of the transmission. The exact problem is duplicated when trying to start in park. Plug the unit back in, it starts.

Thanks
