Help asap
hey guys im tryin to change my oil i let the ford dealer do it before and now i can not get my oil filter off i have tried everything PLEASE HELP

Try pounding a long screw driver into the side of it and use it like a cheater bar.

I would not recommend the screwdriver trick just yet. What have you tried that has not worked so far? Have you tried a filter wrench?

okay so the filter wrench is going to squish the filter a lot. this is normal. just squish the crap outta that filer to torque it off..

screwdriver works everytime like a charm. quick and easy, just make sure you have some old rags to wipe the mess up.

Try a strap wrench that has a shaft that is turned with a ratchet or breaker bar. They are available at most parts stores.

Try it while the motor is cool also since heat makes things expand.
