How can you even think Ford will pay on this......being a owner of a speed control fire, I feel you, but I knew about the recall BEFORE I bought the truck and never did it.....I understand its not their falt.

Sucks for you man I really to feel for ya, but if they pay you a dime, your coming out a winner.

Well the truck is home, I remember why I don't take my truck to the dealer, they allways do a sloppy job, driving home from the dealer my brakes felt spongie, the pedal was going down to far, I'm pritty sure I have to bleed them again. When you want the job done wright do it your self. They din't even clean up the fluid that speel out, for 327.00 dollar labor at lest they should of clean the fluid that speelout. Bottom line is they sold me a deffective truck. And for the record I'm not mad, Actually I'm happy because it happen out in the open and nobody got hert.

Bottom line is they did not KNOW they sold you and millions others a defective truck, and when the defect surfaced they sent ALL REGISTERED OWNERS a recall letter. That's as responsible as can be. The letter said that it was a fire hazard, you rolled the dice, and you lost.

Your repair should be warranted for 12 months or 12000 miles, if they didn't repair it to your satisfaction, take it back.

Take it back? No thanks I can do a better job. No more dealers for me. From now on I'll make time to fix my Truck. I do have a lot of tools seating on my garage.

Sloppy workmanship seems to be everywhere.
I am sorry you had such a bad experience. These trucks are great but nothing is perfect.

If you have tools and know how to fix it, why did you pay the dealer $327 labor to fix it when they denied the claim? Seems to me you should have gotten a resolution on the claim *before* authorizing any work. I think there are some flaws in your decision making process.
