Ok guys, so i just dropped of my Truck at the dealership, because it was making a click klack noise when the engine heats up. My dad thinks its a lifter, but not too sure, and a buddy thinks its a fazer, if thats how you spell it. I'm not too sure and a lil worried, has anybody had any problems like what im saying???
if anybody can help it would be great.

is your SES light flashing? (misfire) Have you ran a diog tester on it yet? Go to any local Checker Auto, its free. Take the code they give you and look it up in your owners manual. Dealership is absolutely not the route you wan't to go unless money is not a problem, i suggest a small local experienced mechanic (usually the older guys know best)

When mine was making that noise, what happened was i replaced the spark plugs but did not give 1 spark plug 2 full turns to tighten. It rattled itself loose and was grounding itself off the intake manifold which melted the sp wire. It lacked power and made alot of clicking noises.

Well there are no light on the dash, and the truck runs fine it just makes that noise after the engine has been running a while.

since you have a newer truck its probably the cam phaser. its a common problem and the dealer should be able to fix it without a problem. i hope you have a warranty though
