The 05's have a whole different problem if you have a 5.4. They have the spark plugs that sometimes won't come out without breaking when you TRY to get them out. If you have a 4.6, you won't have any problem, the blowout problem was fixed sometime in 03.

 

Well the 05 I just bought does have the 5.4. Maybe I should have the dealer change my plugs before the extended warranty runs. That way if anything happens it will still be covered. I did do an internet search and read the TSB about the issue you spoke of with the newer engines. Hopefully when its time to have mine changed the mechanic lets them soak real good and they come out without breaking.
