Ive got a 2008 F150 with a 4.6L....lets say that i blew that engine or it was trashed some how. what would be the cost of a complete 5.4L to drop in there instead of going with a 4.6L again???

 

i dont think theres any difference between the wiring harness for the 5.4 and 4.6 that year but i'm not 100% sure. if thats the case you'd need an engine and computer. but if the trucks under warranty and it blew. i'd take it to a dealership and have it replaced. then pull it out and sell it and get the 5.4. i'd say if you do it yourself it would be around $5000 to $5500 for a new engine and computer.

 

Should have pressed the easy button and got the 5.4L to start with.
