I believe a Cat engine is an extra cost option. My brother was a civil engineer (owned an earth moving company) and had a Ford 9000 to pull his lowboy that he moved equipment on and being a Cat man all the way, he was able to order the same Cat engine that his largest scrapers had at a $7000. cost option.
