That sounds like recalls and something to do with how it was broken in or operated when new, or even now thats always got a long term effect. OPPERATOR ERROR!

Ha no shiii t huh? That guy better talk to his kids and tell him they owe him a truck for doing that 30 minute break stand. Because thats about what it takes to take out a 4.6, damn near bullet proof as far as im concerned, i am sitting pretty good at an origional 310,000 almost 311,000 miles on my engine tranny and entire drive line! Maybe change the oil once and awhile? Maybe add some coolant here and there, trani fluids a plus!

Dude seriously, guys. No one owns cummins, cummins is an industrial engine company for machines and big trucks, Dodge uses them alot in their 3500s, and i would have to say Dodge uses them more. Sorry i just have a buddy that works at the minnesota Cummins locaton so...Ya, he says they are not owned by anyone, and its true.

Yeah its pretty much, they fend for themselves, if you want a complete powerhouse engine, drop in a cummins, so ford and dodge both wanted to. On the Speed channel on tv i have seen 2500 hd silverados with built and tuned cummins engines pushing 800 horse pulling 30 tons. SOOOO. They are their own company.

Brew- Sober up and bite your tongue! That '98 you've got is as good as they come. (Specially with you practicing on it every little while). If you haven't already, goggle "million mile van" and tell me what you think. It's for real!
