Engine Misfire Question

I have a 2004 F-150 Fx4 and after my truck shifts into overdrive and I give it the gas, I get a shutter when it accelerates. Ford told me that I have a enigine misfire and need to run hotter spark plugs. Does anyone know if this is really going to solve the problem or are they just blowing smoke at me? Thanks

They want a hotter plug to address the sticking plug problem but you likely do need a plug change and maybe you have a failing coil. Yes tuning the truck will likely fix those issues.
