Unhappy motor squeal...

i recently bought a tuner and cai, i have a 4.6l auto
when i'm running it wide open , the belt under hood sounds like it squeals when i shift gears??? what can i do to fix? will it hurt anything?
experience needed. thanks

No,,,it won't hurt anything but it is very annoying...lol

Buy a new Goodyear gator back belt! It will fix your problem.

X2 on the goodyear gatorback belt. Have one on the stang and it works great no slip so far.

Your reprogramming is making the transmission shift very fast.
What this does is try to slow the motor when the trans changes gears at hi rpm.
The alternator, water pump, A/C compressor and power steering run at motor speed and cannot slow down that fast when the trans suddenly trys to slow the motor hence the squeal.
New belt and back off some on the trans shifting will fix it.
You can't just endlessly make these kinds of changes without causing other issues.
The ACC and single drive belt was not designed to accept these sudden 'slam' changes in speed.
There is a spring loaded tension arm that may momentairly relax it's tension in a short duration reverse unloading from the Acc reaction to the rpm changes.

okay , thanks i'll loosen up the shift pressure on it, and go with a gator belt
