high idle

While Faye was dumping her 8 inches of rain, I deicded it was the perfect time to pull the old Ford into the garage and clean the throttle body. Since all was off, I also changed the plugs, replaced the IAC and replaced a cracked PCV elbow. After putting everything back together, I notice that the engine idle is seemingly high. It fluctuates between 800 and 1100 RPM while in park. I was wondering if that's due to the leak in the PCV elbow and the PCM was compensating but never reset after a good elbow was installed. Any suggestions?

I would go back and check everything you worked on, something is letting air in. You have a vacuum leak.

Disconnect the battery for 15 minutes and give it a few days to relearn. If it's still not right, look for more vacuum leaks.
