Intake Differences

I may end up trying to retrofit a lightning intercooler on my 2002 5.4. Are there any differences between the heads and year models prior to 2004? If I try to find one of these, will it bolt right up? Everything should be the same as far as I know. The 99-00 were 9 rows while the 2001 ups are the upgraded 10 rows. I'm aware of that but any reason the different year models arent interchangeable? Will any year prior to 2004 fit my 2002 truck?

You probably know this already

The 1999-2000 Lightning and the redesigned 2001-04 L intakes are not the same, as are their mid plates which is where the intercooler sits. It's just like the blower for the same years, it has different bolt down patterns. As far as to the heads they are all the same, and the Lightning uses the exact same PI heads as a naturally aspired 5.4.

LFB,
Thats what I was checking... The top bolt pattern to the blower is different but the head to intake is the same as a reg. 5.4. I"m not concerned with the blower to intake pattern, I will be putting a flat adapter plate on it, that I plan to make myself.
The part I had in question is where the intake mounts to the heads. All that should be the same including everything like radiator hoses, etc....
