hi guys i have a 2006 5.4l supercrew yesterday my check engine light came up i got a diablo sport programer i put on the truck set it on troubles codes and came that i am having problems with my idle air control system, sometimes the truck lower the RPM below 500rpm. i went on the internet to find the parts and i can't find it anywhere. my questions is should i buy on the net or take the truck to the dealer

 

i dont think yours has an iac. you have the electronic throttle and all the work of an iac is done through the throttle body i believe.

 

A few of the mustang guys who have had that code, solve the the problem just by rebooting. The 3 valve is very sensitive and don't like change - sounds funny don't it? But that can happen with a dirty MAF sensor. I would try cleaning the MAF - Then reconnect for a fresh reboot first. It's free and could be all that's to it.

You may have to fool around with that little motor @ the TB.

I was under the impression that he just used that tuner to check code - Oh well.

 

Thats a good point brew, if he's not running the programmer the Diablo link is possibly worthless.
