Yes try to get a set of heads off a 04 or up, they have the newer spark plug thread design which is much more reliable.

You don't want a mustang intake, they do not perform well in a 6000lb truck, they are meant for a 3300lb car. And DO NOT, DO NOT run bosch plugs, they are junk in the modulars. Run a OEM double platnium plug, nothing else. Those heads are DOHC, and that is a big swap, lots of work, keep the SOHC.

Put a 99+ 5.4 in it and you'll have 260 HP to start with!

Hi FRod,
That last pic of the 4.6 DOHC heads on Ebay are mine, I use the same used name. I personally built a DOHC and have it in my F150. It's no easy task and it require ALOT of custom fabrication. I actually just got it running today. There are still a few bugs to work out. I also have on Ebay a set of the eight spark plug thread PI heads. They are 05 castings from an 06 vehicle. I can sell you a pair off ebay if you want.

That is the one that i am looking at, that mounts up to any 4.6 liter SOHC 2v 16valve engines right? Its for a 99 f 150. So can i get a re-manned 5.4 engine and just slap these on there with the pi intake 75mm intake plenum and 75mm TB?

My bad...

I was a little tired when I glance at the link to the pic. you listed. I thought it was of the DOHC heads I also have listed. Yes, those are the SOHC 16 valve 05 casting eight thread heads.
Yes you can drop them right on any 4.6 or 5.4 shortblock with either 11cc or 18cc. pistons. The 11cc will give you about 10:1 comp, and the 18cc. about 9:1 comp.
Definitly get a PI intake. But I would wait on the aftermarket larger plenum and TB. I dont remember off hand what the stock size was any more, but it was adequate for the motor. I modded a 5.4 PI aluminum intake. I removed the dividing wall just down from the plenum, I also did about 6 hours of die grinding to it to clean up the outside. There is alot of extra aluminum on that thing, once removed it was so much nicer. I took off a bunch of mounting bosses from it since I made an adapter to use a Lightning plenum and throttlebody instead of the stock one. Since then I put it all back to stock and sold the truck. If your interested in that aluminum modded intake, it still has the adapter to then put a Lightning plenum on. It's just collecting dust in the garage now. I can send you a pic of it.

Yes i really would like it, how do i change the cc on it to get the 10:1 compression? Yes i want the heads and the intake so if it does not make it on ebay, i want to buy it from you so please save it for me!! i have the cash i just need to make an ebay account. So your saying i can take a 5.4 with 100,000 miles on it, take the old heads and intake on, and slap those on, put the valve covers back on and fire it up? thats what im looking to do!
