before i got my truck i had 900 pounds of dirt in the back of a minivan (windstar) and that thing there was no way i was stopping when the light turned yellow.

Just be careful. Its a Ford so it will put up with the abuse, just remember to be safe driving on the road

I thought pellets were another name for rabbit sh^t.

That was almost big business. My dad use to varnish rabbit sh^t (pellets)/ poke a hole in it / then string it to make cool necklaces.

He would then give the necklaces to girls in school.

He said it worked good at first - BUT, not for long.

You know how girls chew on sh^t

I wonder what happens to your insurance if you cause an accident and you're demonstrably overloaded?
Hope the accident threw what was in your bed out or just start giving it away for free.

And yes i ran 1 yellow light it was kinda sorta getting to red when i was under it but there was no way i was stoping for that. Wish i could load some pictures from my fone but i didnt buy the thingy to put um on the computer. i think my friend has one.

Those look like 60lb retainer wall blocks. I had 32 pallets of those delivered.. No way I was putting 32 pallets and 32 trips home in my truck! 45 blocks at 60 lbs = 2,700 lbs BTW....

I would venture to say that the 1000 lb. limit has more to do with the transmission than it does the leafs or shocks.

If you hit a bump and bottom out with 2500 lbs in the bed you could bend the frame. The springs are rated somewhere near 3500 lbs so you are close to or just over the limit there. The truck can pull a some where in the neighbourhood of 10,000 lbs. so the power train is safe with 2500 lbs in the bed.

Regards
