i have a 2001 with the 5.4l with the 130 stock alt and wanting to upgrade since i will have almost 2500rms of audio

Don't know why that wouldn't do exactly what you want to do. Just follow the directions to the letter on upgrading your cable. That's essentially the same as the police model for the last few years. They use a centrifical clutch on the pulley so that when you shut it down you can watch the the stator coast to a stop when the pulley stops immediately. Don't know the precise reason for that but that's the way it works.

There is no bracket for the alt. on the modular engines. It bolts directly to the front of the block, uses a serpentine belt with a spring loaded tensioner. The 200A alt is almost no bigger than a 110A or 130A. The days of huge alt. for high output are pretty much gone.
