What other wheels fit our trucks?

I just bought an 04 heritage and it has the cheap looking polished 16's on it. I was looking to get an alloy 16 of some sort because it has a new set of Michelins on it that I really like and hate to see go to waste. Do the wheels off of Explorers and Escapes fit? Are the backspacing and bolt pattern the same? I found a set off of an 04 Sport Trac that are a nice price, but I'm not sure if they will fit right.

no, they will not bolt up. the bolt pattern you are looking for is 5x135. unfortunately, ford was the first auto manufacturer to EVER use this particular pattern, and the only other factory rims that will fit are those off of an Expy or a Navigator. Other than that, look to the aftermarket.

Is there a differance between a normal Explorer and the Sport Tracs, as far as bolt pattern goes?

Check out this website. http://www.finishlinewheels.com/FORD/F150+%C0+TRUCK/
They make OEM rims to OEM specs. They have alot of different model rims for our trucks, and also have Expy and Nav rims.

Also there is a thing called a lug adapter. Just do a Google search on that.

hope this helps!

wow, I feel like an idiot....when you said "Expy" I was thinking Explorer. I read it again, and thought " If Navigator wheels fit, then Expedition wheels should, they're the same damn thing that year" I'm ashamed to say how long it took to put 2 and 2 together. Disregard the Sport Trac question then.

so am I correct in assuming then that all the talk I've heard about dodge and ford trucks patterns being the same applied to the pre-'97 f-150's and not the '97-'03 f-150's

If someone could let me know, that would be great!

Pre 97 F150s and half ton Dodges are the same, 5 on 5.5.
