Coolant temp / tranny temp with Scanguage

Coolant temp / tranny temp with Scanguage

Just got a new scanguage today and am playing around with it..mainly using it for the gauge function..anyway, im monitoring coolant temp and tranny temp and would like to know what is considered normal for both and what is considered hot? I have a 99 4.6 2wd..thanks!

Fwt and CHT on my scangauge are always real close to each other, CHT can go as high as 208 on my truck (fans on at 200 or so) and water temp goes around 200. TFT I have had around 130 max..but I don't tow anything besides a little weight once ina while.

thanks for the feedback...im seeing about 195 water and around 155 tranny just driving in atlanta..do you have any idea where the tranny temp sending unit picks up the tranny fluid temp?

There is a temperature sensor built into the valve body wiring harness in the bottom of the transmission pan.
