Need some help?

Truck:
03 F150 5.4L
63k miles

Problem:
Truck seems to be missing between 45mph-55mph. There's a little joilt/hessitation/skip then it smooths out. Also i noticed it doing it after a long drive last weekend, drove fine all the way there then i had to stop at a stop sign and it wanted to shake/miss for a second.

Going to change the fuel filter. What else do i need to check? Talked to my local dealership about plugs/coil replacements and it's going to run $450+. Heard there hard as all get out to change, and a few have been broke off in the engines.

Sounds like a coil problem. I would recommend changing all eight along with plugs. Just changed the plugs and coils [from Global Automotive for $90 delivered] on a 5.4 this week and its not that hard if you remove the fuel rail and I took the EGR off for extra room. If you decide to do it yourself read all the dos and dont's around here.
