This doesnt seem to be an easy one, and it has had me stumped for quite some time.
Its not the ignition module, relays, fuses, ignition switch, fusible links, wiring harness to the fuse/relay box, inertia switch, battery, starter, fuel pump, cam sensor, crank sensor, solenoid or anything simple like that.
It was running fine, shut down after one mile of driving. No injector pulse, no fuel pump signal and no ignition as in no spark. I connect a scanner to the port do a key on engine off test and it cannot connect to the ecm. How often do these ecms die anyway? Is there another fusible link or common connecti0on problem ahead of the ecm?
The ecm is about all it can be at this point, either it isnt getting power past the relays and fuses or its dead.
Ideas or suggestions?

it could be the ecm. but it could also be an alternator. when the battery goes down to a certain voltage the whole system will shut down. and the scanner wont connect. if the ecm is gone then something must have spiked it. do you have any power going to anything like the gauge cluster or lights.

The 84 and 74 F150s I have still run and they are rusted almost to nothing, I guess Fords better idea wasnt so better after all.
To top things off it has 4 more Master Techs stumped as to what died on this POS. So hauling it to yet another tomorrow, he works on Dodge so he is used to junk not working.
loool
dude... how much would you sell the engine for? and how many miles are on it?
