no start!
What would cause no spark or fuel in a 97 expedition? I was driving (kinda getting on it) and a puff of black smoke come out and the truck died. I tried changing the computer and the cps and still nothing.
do like I have and check all this..
Ignition module, relays, fuses, ignition switch, fusible links, wiring harness to the fuse/relay box, inertia switch, battery, starter, fuel pump, cam sensor, crank sensor, solenoid

How do you know it has NO spark ? How was that checked ?? The more info of what you have done or ALL yo have done to figure out the problem would be helpful. There's gotta be more to it.??
just checked for spark and it has it but when i jump the pink and white wire for the fuel pump to a 12vdc i then get 38 pounds of pressure but still does not start. Iv changed the CPS looked down the oil filler to make sure my cams are spinning wich thay are changed the computer and changed my o2s (for fun). When this all started i was taking off from a stop sighn kinda hard and a puff of black smoke came out and it died. i did notice when im cranking it the theft light is flashing.
I have spark but i dont have injector pulses or fuel pump also it looks like my tps is working backwards 5vdc and when you give it throttle it goes down to 1vdc so i held it at 1vdc and turned the key to see if i get fuel pressur and nothing.

Did you check your inertia breaker ? Behind the pass side kick panel. Reset breaker - This kills the injectors. let us know what happens or if it was tripped. Stop poking your pump wires, for now anyway.

my truck still wont start and it looks like it would be the pats system but everything iv read on the internet says the pats didnt start till 99 however when i turn my key the theft light flashes really fast for about 30 sec and then flashes a code 16 and from what i understand that means that the pats tranmmiter is not seeing my key. its also hard for me to believe that the pats is to blame because i was already started and under hard acceleration when my truck died. I do know that my injectors are no firing and my fuel pump is not priming (i have a fuel pressure gauge on my fuel rail) and i do have spark. Any help would be appreciated
