More Power

Hey everyone it's been a while since I've posted in here. Lately I've been looking at upping the performance of my 1999 F150. I've got the 5.4L Triton engine which is ballsy enough in itself, but I want to add a bit more power to my truck. I have about $1500 that I will allow myself to spend right now. Realistically what could I get with that kind of money and what kind of gains could I see?

If you do enough digging here you will find, this subject has been beaten to death here.

The above links are what I am looking to get. Troyer takes forever at times, but, from what I have read, it is well worth the wait.

They talk about gains of 45-50hp but i wonder what the increase in torque would be. Also I have dual exhaust on my truck and for the performance package it sounds like it would be for a truck with single exhaust. Or does it even matter if you have single or dual?

I suggest you dont stick with one place or a power package because in my opinion they takea broad shot and miss little places where a different part could get more for your truck than another. I have the same truck you do, and have spent about your estimate and I beat the new Ford's. So here ya go.

Flowmaster 40 series - $250 w/ install
S@B Cold air intake kit- $205 ish
Hypertec Max Energy Programmer - $370
Pacesetter Shorty Headers - $115 + $250 if mechanic install
Throttle body spacer - bored.. $50-$90
Granatelli Spark plug wires - $200 ish
E3 spark plugs - $80

you can get all of it at Summit Racing, and Stylin' Trucks

all that sounds pretty nice. What kind of gains have you seen from all of that?
