Efans = Dead Radiator

Saturday 7/5 I notice overflow bottle was about half full since i last checked it, made a mental note to fill it when i got home. (didnt follow through)

Well i was sitting in traffic today, worse then normal, go monday!!! and i look down and my water gauge was up about 3/4 of the way to max. I instantly turned on max heater to help cool the engine down.

Get home and radiator is dripping, but cant tell from where. Note that the overflow bottle is completely empty.

Good thing i was already planning on upgrading to a dual core radiator soon

Fan is so loose the rods were allowed to saw through the tubes and cause the leak. Here is how I mounted mine;

Both fans are mounted in this fashion. No more rods through the rad. I used aluminum angle iron to reinforce the lip where the bolt is.

Don't mind me, just a happy mechanical fan user.

Wiring burning up, sketchy fan kits and customer support, busted radiators...and you people go through this crap because...?

Well i built the kit for a whole 30 bucks out of pocket, so buying a $100 radiator and im still way less then half of troyer or flex-a-lite kit

I gained solid 1.0 mpg over every driving city and highway so you tell me, i still think im ahead for the last 30k ive had these fans on

I am a power hungry fool looking for every last bit that I can get. 10-15 more Hp available to the crank is what it is all about. Some like to haul shìt with their trucks and some like to go fast. Some are content to just leave well enough alone. If I didn't pop the hood once a day I would go into withdrawal.

It's funny JMC. Some people think it's about transportation.
