Plugs

Hey all, I've got an oil change coming up soon and the plain ole autolite coppers have been in the truck for about 1 year now, and I think I should switch back to good old motorcrafts. So, I went to the dealer yesterday and dropped about $8.40 a plug. I was concerned after reading this topic today though...

https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...light=AGSF32FM

My box says:

SP-432
AGSF32FM

Motorcraft.com says this is the correct plug and numbers, so the parts guy is on the money with that.

Are these new engineered plugs OK to use versus the old double platinums?

Parts guys said these are new and replacing double plats.

Thanks!

Yeah, but it's basically a guaranteed no failure insurance for at least 100K and thats what I wanted, because I've worried ever since I put the autolites in.

Bump, anymore comments as to whether those are going to be OK plugs or should I hunt for double platinum instead of the fine wire plats?

Idunno - There both good. I like the fine wires myself, but will purchase from Murreys or on-line @ Rock Auto for the best price. Locally, Ive noticed 3rd party suppliers who carry and stock Motorcraft plugs are the cheapest in price. Beating out the dealerships and the internet.

Now you have to know how I feel about Autolites - I think every one else does

Coppers up to almost $4 a lb. @ the scrap yard - You should make a deposit, you might get more than there worth there. I know you paid more than there worth .. Freakin Autolites suck in the 97-03 V8's period....'s.

Thats a good idea brew! I didn't think of that. Think I'll notice a bigger difference in power/fuel economy with the moto fine wire plats then?
