Question Engine loses power and dies, but not at dealer :(

2003 F-150 Super Crew. No Check Engine Light ever.

About two weeks ago, was driving down the highway to the airport and seemed like it was mis-firing or cutting out slightly. Made it to the airport, truck sat there for 5 days. On the way home, no problems. This Monday, driving back to airport, no problems (to my recollection). Coming home Wednesday (truck sat for about 2 days), driving down the freeway, pushed the accelerator to pass, and nothing (looked down to see if I was on the break). Truck had died. Coasted to side of road. Called AAA. While waiting for AAA, tried to start it, would crank like a mad man, but nothing. As AAA arrived, it turned over, ran rough for about 2 seconds, then died.

Towed to Ford dealership (~11 miles). While settling up with Tow truck, Ford rep jumped into and cranked it over, fired right up and ran like it was in a race. He sat there for a while and kept revving it, just kept running, no misses at all.

They kept it and ran diagnostics on it that evening and most of the day today. No errors, never ran rough, started every time, no problems (THIS SCARES ME).

Anyone have any ideas as to what might be happening. I REALLY don't want to be on the way to the airport with the family and have this bad boy die on me, or die on them on the way home. Any thoughts or pointers would be MUCH appreciated. I have 2 days to set my mind at ease!

Yep , Fuel filter. - You have to change them - That little book in glove compartment instructs you how to properly maintain your investment. You should read it
