Truck hasnt seen the dealer since I drove off the lot the day I purchased it.

Yep. Did some testing today and thats what it is. You can actually wait to 3to 4 minutes and it will start blowing cold. Im sure it is normal and sometype of startup delay.

I would at least take in for a recall check up at some point.

what is recall checkup? cant i just punch in the vin somewhere on the internet and it will tell me any recalls? wont i get a letter in the mail also?

Did some more testing today. when the engine temp gauge starts to move the a/c started blowing cold. i am guessing it it waiting for the engine to warm up or meet other parameters before engaging the ac
