Does this thing have something to do with the vacuum? Looks like a resevior to me. How many more of these are there? How can I tell if it is good?

Just to let you guys know I bought the official ford workshop manuals for my 07 5.4l F-150 and all the A/C doors are actually controlled electronically, not using vacuum anymore.
