do i need a SPECIAL SOCKET?

just recently bought autometer guages. didnt spend much time looking cause it got dark but do i need a "special socket" to get the oil pressure sending unit out of my 351W (stock). if not what do i use because my friend told me i do and i dont think so. and i would like to have it by next weekend if indeed i do need it.

No, I just did it on mine recently. You will have to get a wrench underneath the factory sender to actually get it out. I can't remember the size but I would like to think it was somewhere around either a 12mm or a 7/16??? Grab a handful of wrenches and go at it. F.Y.I.- it is time consuming because there is not much room to work.

thanks for the info. i only glanced at it and i thought it looked like a line wrench or a simple open end wrench would be all that i needed. i'm gonna give it a shot this weekend and i will let u know how long it took me haha.
